What product is best suited to fill recessed nail gun holes in already painted timber skirting boards?

I need to repaint soon after filling holes if possible.

For best results you first should prime the nail heads and nail holes.You can then fill with either Selleys No More Cracks Large Cracks & HolesNo More Cracks is available from most hardware retailers.You can also use Polyfilla Professional Deep & Large Cracks (Available at Trade and specialty paint outlets)Once the filler has dried lightly sand to a smooth finish and then coat with water or oil based paints to finish.
